M2 Motorscapes regneration
Our vision to strengthen communities through transport recognises the major role we play in local communities, particularly in the areas in which we operate. We seek to engage with local businesses and community groups to understand what the direct needs of those communities are and then better invest in areas where we can make a real difference.

Here in NSW we are focussed on key areas, around our roads, where we can make a real difference. Working with a select group of partners allows us to place our focus on specific projects that we think can add real value.

Some of the current activity across our NSW network is:

Charity partnerships

Community partnerships

M2 Macquarie Park Motorscapes Project

An ideas competition was held last year calling on the community to come up with creative design ideas to transform an unused five-hectare site alongside the Hills M2 Motorway in Sydney. 'Kinetica' by a Sydney-based creative team took out top honours for their creative representation of Australian native plant species.

We’ll be working closely with Landcare Australia, and together we will focus on creating healthy ecosystems by removing noxious weeds, revegetation with local native plants and drainage works to improve the site's water quality.

Community Grants

Our Community Grants Program is an important way to help the communities that neighbour our road network. Since 2015 we have awarded 48 grants to community organisations that generate social or environmental benefits.

Applications for our Community Grants Program are now open; apply now for a grant of up to $5000.
