More than 26,000 people ran a great course for a great cause at the 12th annual Herald Sun/CityLink Run for the Kids on Sunday 9 April.

CityLink – owned and managed by Transurban – has been a proud partner of Run for the Kids since its inception in 2006. Each year we welcome the opportunity to open our road and provide participants with the truly unique experience of running or walking through the Domain Tunnel and over the Bolte Bridge.

This year both the short and long courses went through the Domain Tunnel, with short course participants also running around our first Motorscapes project at Power Street Loop, while long course runners took in the view over the Bolte Bridge.

This year’s event raised an impressive $1.51 million for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal. After the final figure was tallied, Transurban Group General Manager, Victoria, Vin Vassallo, announced CityLink would top up the donation to $1.6 million. The event has now raised more than $15.7 million for the Appeal since the first Run for the Kids.

Thank you to everyone who participated or volunteered to make this year’s event so special. We look forward to being part of Run for the Kids again in 2018.
